After umming and ahhing for donkeys years about blogging I have finally taken the plunge and started a blogging site!!
You can all blame Trisha Gee from JetBrains for giving me the final motivation I needed to do this!! Not just her fault, I have many others to thank for nagging me into doing this including and especially my Wife, Monika.
Basically I will be posting mostly about things Java and the developer experience.
To start off with I will be posting about Project Loom and in a series of articles go through API changes, the implications of Virtual Threads and also provide running code via github. One of the first code examples will be how not to abuse Virtual Threads or “How I made my Laptop glow in the dark”.
I will also be musing about my life as a developer and hopefully pass on some nuggets of wisdom to anyone reading the articles so that they don’t make the same mistakes I did.
Because I am horribly inconsistent about things I will also be sprinkling in accounts on evenings spent with friends and how I managed to yet again not kill anybody with my cooking.
